| Breaking News |  | Rehab Fails, Career Over For Wolfpack Oswalt
Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011: Roy Oswalt has already had to shut down his rehabilitation twice in his recovery from a torn rotator cuff. Now he has suffered another setback that could end his baseball career for good. The Columbus starting pitcher has gotten hurt again and done more damage to his injury. Reports say chances are remote that anything can be done to get him back on the field. The Wolfpack medical specialists say it is unlikely Oswalt will ever play ball again.
So far this season Oswalt has a record of 2-3 with 14 strikeouts and 10 walks in 33.1 innings and a 4.59 ERA. |

Monday, August 1st, 2011: A veritable toddler to the United League, Eric Sogard just sewed up the Rookie of the Month trophy for July.
Over the past month the 25-year-old second baseman for Poughkeepsie hit .345 with 39 hits, 3 home runs and 17 runs batted in. He also logged 12 walks and compiled a .405 on-base percentage.
Sogard is presently batting .305 with 4 home runs, 47 runs scored and 37 RBIs. His OBP is .356. |
