 | Star of the Week Named in A Monday, August 1st, 2011: 19-year-old Jonathan Garcia made a few Macon headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Single-A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .440 average. Garcia collected 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 6 runs. For the year Garcia has hit .295 with 14 home runs, 66 RBIs and scored 74 runs. |   |
